Hello All, As part of trying to revive a U.S. spec 1979 Silver Wraith II "from the dead" I'm beginning to learn quite a bit more about the Workshop Manual than I'd already learned from working on my 1978 European spec Silver Shadow II. It is amazing how much is market specific as far as the carburettors, EGR systems, etc., down to and including the carb linkages. All of this is documented in Chapter U of the Workshop Manual (TSD4200). What follows is the content of Chapter U that is repeated by model year and delivery market: U1 Introduction U2 Exhaust emission control system U3 Fuel evaporation emission control system U4 Crankcase emission control system U5 Carburetters and Automatic choke system U6 Ignition System U7 Electrical Components U8 Fault Diagnosis U9 Workshop tools U10 Running Changes Here are the pages in the PDF version of Chapter U where the various delivery markets and model years appear: Australia PDF Page Model Year 1 1977 49 1978 97 1979 143 1980 Japan PDF Page Model Year 188 1977 240 1978 290 1979 340 1980 USA and Canada PDF Page Model Year 390 1977 439 1978 488 1979 534 1980 - except California 578 1980 - California cars with fuel injection Since this particular chapter is not OCR scanned and there's nothing at the start of Chapter U stating that it's got this configuration, it's not particularly easy to locate these specific sections unless you already know that they exist.
