My 1978 Silver Shadow II will start and run for about five miles, then stop running. I will coast to side of road and after a few attempts it will restart. I have replaced plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor. local Mechanic thinks I need a new Distributor, or a new coil, or a halofax (sp) resistor. replaced fuel pump not long ago. I feel I am getting adequate fuel. Just ignition cessation. I am in rural Oregon USA, and no RR Mechanic even close. Any suggestions would be very helpful |

Lee, If you're anywhere near Redmond you could try calling: Marshall's Automotive - Lance Hudspeth, mechanic 2110 S Hwy 97 Redmond, OR 97756 Phone: (541) 548-5239 http://www.marshallsautomotive.com/ There's also The Jag Shop in Portland, but since you say "rural Oregon" I'm not presuming you're anywhere near Portland.
