does anybody know the threading of the system's connections? To make a restrictor I used the 3/8 die and tap good for the brake system, but the threading seems too coarse, the lube ones are more fine. It does not connect well. This seams strange as the workshop manual gives only one 3/8 UNF size. My drill has written the following on it: 3/8 UNF PD, 3509"/19" GF 3715, ST GWS / 3946 Flying Spares is not able to help. Thank all for help! Guido

I have to presume that this is the "end of the line" for the Bijur system on these cars. Take a look at http://www.fluidlinesystems.net/Bijur-FT-s/1899.htm and see if the fittings available there, and the notes they have regarding thread size, help you out. |

a shot in the dark, lots of 50's things used cycle thread which in most applications is 26 to inch. when looking at bolt etc, appears very fine thread? |

Mark, It appears to be 1/8 NPT at least if the supplier of Bijur parts is to be believed. Here's a cap from the one-shot lube system on at least one S1: Brian |

Hi all, Here is a clearer photo of the wording on the cap for those who are interested. Kind regards, Chris |

Gordon, thanks, the thread actually seams very fine to me, it is more fine than the brake 3/8 threading. Brian: thanks, the site says 1/" NPT and googling this I actually did finde an 3/8 27 thread/" indication ... maybe thats the right one!
