j have disassembled a blower motor engine of the Rools Royce Silver Cloud 3. It was blocked. My problem is: I don't know how to refit this bolwer. Some parts have fallen like spring. Do you have a diagram or picture how to replace all the parts? thank you for your further help françois charlier |

I would feel inclined to let an auto electrician look at the parts first, particularly if the shaft is vertical when the motor is installed. The Smiths motor on the MK VI heater (under the passenger seat) looks similar. There the replacement of worn brushes is difficult even if you can get them, there is no proper thrust bearing and if something stops the armature going round the motor overheats and damages the internal insulation. I fix the noise problem , the shaft had seized on the brass ring I already refit the blower motor but I have a doubt with the 2 springs, when I opened all parts fell. |

Hi Francois, is there any chance the two springs may have held the brushes against the armature? |

Yes probably, you are right, on the bolt and the the spring push the motor to apply a pressure but I do not know which side? fan or rear? and there is few washers ? the motor work after refit but it is a little hard and I deduce a wrong refit . |
