Anybody know where I can get a bottle and pump for these units. I know they are about as effective as a micturating mosquito but that is what the owner wants.

Bill,

Were similar units fitted to other makes around this time or is it a unique R-R/B initiative? I remember vacuum operated windscreen wipers from the 1950/1960 era with little affection and a vacuum washer pump would be even worse!!

If vacuum washers were fitted to US manufactured cars; reproduction units should be available from the USA for car restorers.

I believe they are the same as fitted to Jaguars of the same age. I found one at the last All British Day in Brisbane

www.holden.co.uk £143.80 each Trico washer bottle type 040.000

This is an exact copy of original.

Holdens also sell original headlights.

Ashley and Carl

Many thanks for that tip. I actually had Holden's among my favourites and did not think to look there. The age is showing I am afraid!
