Hi guys,

Has anybody come across a good source of the raised head wood screws for fastening timber around the doors and windscreen? Lee Bothers only carry self tappers, Bunnings are a bit useless.

In Sydney would be great!

Cheers

Marty

Hi Marty,

Try the following outlets as this type of screw is used in marine and industrial applications - better still they should be available in stainless steel to minimise corrosion problems after installation:

1. Specialty fastener suppliers such as Mr Stainless P/L Drummoyne, Budget Fasteners Taren Point [my previous source for most fasteners], Austain Fasteners, Auburn or Bremick, Alexandria [never used last two]. You can also try Blackwoods, they used to do cash sales at their Taren Point branch and their main warehouse used to be at Wetherill Park; online access is through the following link:

http://www2.blackwoods.com.au/Default.aspx

2. Ships Chandlers/Boating Supplies/Sailmakers such as Whitworth's Marine & Leisure Drummoyne.

Hope this helps.
