Hi all,
I will be replacing various rubber drain hoses on my MKVI. As this is a job I would like to do only once (especially the roof drains) what would be the best material form the hoses to be made from?

Silicone springs to mind. Not original, but quite durable.

I used standard heater hose with a smear of non-hardening aviation gasket goo.
