Hi all

I am about to do the first oil change on my recently acquired Mk VI. What is the sump capacity of the 4.25 engine?

Regards

KC

Mine takes about 8 litres plus 1 litre to pre-fill the oil filter. Buy plenty!

The listed capacity is 16 pints(Imp) but you will find that slightly less is O.K. When these engines are operated right up to the full mark No 6 conrod just dips into the oil when the car is on the slightest uphill incline. Not such a good thing.
