Hi all I am about to do the first oil change on my recently acquired Mk VI. What is the sump capacity of the 4.25 engine? Regards KC

Mine takes about 8 litres plus 1 litre to pre-fill the oil filter. Buy plenty! |

KC The listed capacity is 16 pints(Imp) but you will find that slightly less is O.K. When these engines are operated right up to the full mark No 6 conrod just dips into the oil when the car is on the slightest uphill incline. Not such a good thing.
