Still working on 1930 PII 117GN. Doing wiring for headlights. Does someone know the details of the dip solenoid? Pictures attached. Activation of the dip solenoid that tips the reflector also seems to open a double pole single throw switch near the end of its travel. I suspect only one pole is used which opens the initial heavy current circuit to limit solenoid heating. On both lights the resistor(?) had been removed and replaced by wire as shown. Does anyone know a reasonable value for this suspected resistor or was it some other device that fitted between the two terminals? Any advice / help gratefully received, thank you.
