Looking for an exhaust manifold for a 20HP engine.
J series (not the later updated fin type)
I’m also open to purchasing the complete unit, including the inlet manifold. Does anyone have a spare or are you parting out a 20HP engine?

Mark, for 20HP TWO different exhaust manifolds have been made:
- early type with curved connection between inlet- and exhaust manifold.(= exhaust manifold E51675)
- L-series onwards: later type with flat (plane) connection between inlet- and exhaust manifold. (E53963)
Both manifolds started life without any fins. However, in the early thirties (1931-1932?) RR did replace both manifolds (valid for all replacements) by new type exhaust manifolds both with fins : E56819 (early type) and E57550 (late type).
As far as I know the early types without fins are just not available. However, https://ristesmotors.co.uk/ is selling both types with fins, but their website does not show correct numbers.

Best regards, Koen,

Thanks, Koen. I appreciated the detailed explanation, including part #s.
I'm seeking the early type with the curved connection. J series.
I realise this is needle-in-haystack stuff, but if I don't ask I won't know.
PS It would be helpful if Ristes indexed part/photo, just saying :-)
