Hi, I am now the owner of 20/25..chassis number GWE10. The steering wheel hub has three levers...throttle on the left, advance/retard on the right..but what does the top centre one do?...it seems to be connected by a series of levers to the braking system under the car. Many thanks. |

Hi John First of all we would welcome you on this message forum. It will be invaluable to learn about your new baby, so please keep asking. The middle lever on the steering hub is for adjusting your carburettor. To the left it weakens the mixture, to the right it gives a stronger mixture. Play while driving a bit with the setting until you find the "sweet spot". You will feel when GWE10 is happiest. Then you can adjust this lever one notch to the right or to the left, depending on the actual driving situation. Jonas (with over 20 years experience with GZU7)

Recent research/reading has revealed the top lever for cars after GYD-25 is "RIDING CONTROL". To provide comfortable riding at all speeds...ordinary town loads would be set at MINIMUM, high speeds and heavy loads would be set at MAXIMUM. |
