It is interesting to see how the ramifications of moving the oiler location on the tailshaft had on changes to the battery box fittings. The 1923 box had the positive & negative cables flapping about next to the spinning tailshaft. 1924 saw the positive cable encased in the tube with the negative cable exiting on the other side in close proximity to the brake cables. With the enots oiler being moved in 1925, the positive cable was relocated more towards the centre of the box which necessitated the lid tiedown brackets moving from the central location towards the Warning placard. |
