The song "I'll Be Home For Christmas" was originally recorded by Bing Crosby in 1943, and it quickly became one of America's most popular holiday songs. The song was written from the perspective of a soldier serving over seas during World War 2.

The lyrics differ:

I'll be home for Christmas
You can "plan" on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree

Where as I had always heard it as:

I'll be home for Christmas
You can "count" on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree

Do other countries even sing this song and which lyrics do they use?
