Hello Jetsetters, its New Years eve here in outback Queensland Australia and today will be pleasant climate wise in that anybody who is here will submerge themselves in water, say the local weir and run a flexible plastic hose from their favourite spirit to their snorkel to get through the day without going totally insane from the heat and start gnawing the bark off gum trees.

So anyway all the best in 2018 to the lot of you (even including the Camargue haters)

And all the best to you as well Vlad.

To everyone on the best car forum in the world,
Do what we do best in 2018, and that is enjoy our cars and families and do it well and do it safe.

As Vlad mentions it is very hot here, but rain may spoil our NYE celebrations.
I’m at my sisters house on the mid north coast of NSW,
and this is about 200m from her front door.
This is where we we will be tonight, weather permitting.

Hi all, I would like to wish you a Healthy Happy and Prosperous New Year, I was forced to spend a couple of weeks down here in Tenerife, sheer torture.

A happy new year to you all.
Shadow 1 is running like a clock!
Weather here is horrid with heavy rain showers, fitted a air con compressor and new dryer with one replacement hose, all working well but amp meter shows damp in the gauge, will do connections on gauge when time permits to see if that helps.
BTW reason for repairs, compressor clutch burnt out and low gas.

Hi Guys, a very belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all. I have yet to catch up with the forum messages. On Dec 7th I had a fall on my Doctors new non slip mat. (people were falling over in the rain before it was installed, anyway I have spent the last 2 weeks in hospital for treatment on my legs which took a lot of damage setting me back yet once again and starting my AF :-( The good news is the medication appears to be working and it's now back to the grindstone to get my legs repaired.

Alan,

sorry to hear about your fall.

I was cleaning a drain and hit my leg with a bit of metal and it caused an ulcer to form. It doesn't hurt but refuses to heal. I have to wear a water tight sock in the shower.

Then the shower pump broke, whilst replacing the pump, I dropped a spanner on my arm, which because of the pills I take caused a huge bruise.

Pat L Shadow is a lovely car.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Bob have heard that royal gel honey does the trick on healing ulcers, tip from an old game keeper.

Patrick R, yes hopefully will be doing some enjoyable motoring in 2018.
Not so many Shadows seen about on the roads these days.

Thanks for the comments on the car.

Robert,

See if you can obtain Manuka honey in the UK - a very effective natural remedy especially for leg ulcers/wounds:

Well Harrods might do a good cuppa but they don't do honey well...
There are other supplies though.
