The video included on this link will interest those with an interest in historic motor racing - it was taken in June 2017 using a professional drone and is in 4K UHD. The image quality is excellent and the progression of the drone around the circuit allows plenty of time to view the detail and imagine what driving on the track would have been like. The use of relatively small concrete slabs and the consequent differences in track height at the joints would have tested the race car suspensions and the drivers' skills and endurance. The sight and sound of a pre-WW2 Bentley at "full song" on the banking would have been awesome. However the driver's kidneys and any teeth fillings would have taken a pounding from the track irregularities - the billiard-smooth tracks of today were destined to take a long time to be become available. | ||
