Wow 17 years old and the immobiliser part of the system failed. Solid state unit with a built in Lith/Ion battery installed this is hard wired and paired to the C/L unit which in turn uses motion sensor and a touch key to arm disarm the system All wires are black and the faulty unit cannot be replaced. Out with the loom and find the links to fuel and starter motor with soldered wire links I now have a running car with original C/L with the flashing leds when armed. Just need to refit all the looms etc.
