My mate has just built a wet room. Ex ship engineer. All copper and brass fittings fitted on the wall rather than in it. It looks very robust and marine. It works well. The hot and cold enter the room in the corner via 2 stop cocks painted to denote which is which. The shower head has a epibranch with a valve and separate hose for "undercarriage " washing. The water comes up to temp quick like this Also he has a shower head with a suction pad which works well. The floor is an 1" lower than the room be next . I like the look of the pipe work so obvious and simple and easy to maintain and repair. Has that Edwardian marine look. My wet room has a counter top and book shelves. Plus a guitar , it does go out of pitch a bit but the accouistics are good. Cello would be good. I reckon if I get Basher round with his biscuit tin drums we could make lots of noise. |
