Hammers can be an accurate tool.
it can't be explained in words easily.

Except one must look at the spot to be twatted. The same as driving look where you are going, not the lady on the radiator. It's becomes automatic. Hold the hammer at the bottom of the shaft with a bit sticking out by your wrist for balance. Don't hold under the head. Use correct weight of hammer. Using too light a hammer and hitting stuff very hard causes accidents. Accurate action comes from the wrist mainly.
