Hi All
Is it possible to strip down the rubbers and trim from the rear bumper without removing the whole assembly from the car.
Thanks for any reply.

Hi Roger
No, its only 2 bolts and slacken the side clips , don't remove the bolts completely!
You can then get to the nuts holding the rubber OK

Thanks Mike for that.
Bumper is now removed, easy when you know how, and stripped down.
The main black rubber is the problem with the rotten fixing pegs distorting the rubber.
Question is has anyone found a way of repairing these and getting the rubber back in shape afterwards or is a replacement job.

Thanks

Roger

Hi Roger
Sorry for the late reply.
Warning you may destroy it!! but if your going to replace it anyway maybe worth a shot ok

I removed the rusted steel from inside the rubber, not an easy job!, but I found the "chrome" strip holds the rubber on anyway , not perfect but much better without the lumps in.
I slit it with a stanly knife on the inside and rolled the steel former bar out , not easy! but must be warm to make the rubber a bit more supple.

Mike
