If one has remove the rear suspension then the replacement of the pipes is easy and quick.

However taking that lot out for replacement is a King lot of work plus the alignment will be disturbed.

The hard part is getting the pipe clip self tappers undone.

If the rear seat is removed to expose the seat pan floor one will notice black plastic caps.
Remove these which exposes the self tapper.
Using an angle grinder grind off the screw nearly flush with the floor.
The screw wil get hot.
The heat will help release the screw should the screw still not release punch it out and use M5 or similar nut and bolt.

Excellent ideas and information. My 1970 Car has dodgy pipes in this area and I have been avoiding the issue. It is indeed a very tight area in which to work.
