Anyone aware of someone who can repair one of the Hobson Telegage fuel indicators? Complete but cloudy glass and appears blocked.

They can be finicky and unreliable. I have everything to rebuild the guage in GNS60 but other things keep getting in the way.

Is it complete?

Are the three fine copper capillaries clear from the sender to the gauge?

Does the hand pump work?

It will probably need a new leather gasket. The tetrabromoethane is available and also toxic. The red dye will fade over time.

If anything is missing the other option is this

It should be possible to adapt the Leds into the existing sight glass for an authentic look.

Do you have pictures of what you have? eg behind the dash.

Thanks Mark,
Yes gauge is complete and pump seems to work. I have it all dismantled at the moment from the dash. The capillaries were blocked but seem OK now. The sight glass is very foggy, it sure if I can clean it.

Alan, if you are stuck for parts, RC Moss Bentley specialists in the UK can probably help. They restore Hobsons.
