Hello all last month I took myself and my Turbo R on an adventure from Northern Ireland to a place in Wales called Llandeilo the home of Mr Paul Yorke and his lovely wife Jacky and small dog called Minnie to have my 1997 turbo R serviced and scrutinised. A few weeks later I returned to Wales to retrieve the car. I was picked up at Cardiff Airport by the said Gentleman and treated as if I was the Prince of Wales himself, If I lived on the mainland of GB it would be a no brainer where I would have my car serviced. I thank you again for your hospitality but the roar of the Turbo R speaks for itself.

Richard.

Richard

This forum is blessed to have a RR professional like Paul, who is prepared to offer advice to us amateurs. I also include Jim Walters and Bill Coburn who are also specialists in these cars. Their help is invaluable and much appreciated.

Can't help thinking what a great drive you must have had to deliver and pick up your Turbo R. I presume you took the Dublin-Hollyhead ferry.

Geoff

Geoff yes I did have a great drive through Wales I went from Rosslare to Fishguard on the outward journey around four hours fifteen minutes arriving around 1.20 am a seventy mile drive on some very bendy road saw me at Paul Yorkes house at around 3.40 am. When I returned to pick the car up for the return journey I went from Pembroke Dock sailing at 3.45 am arriving in Rosslare about 7.15 am taking the whole experience twice to Cardiff airport and two different ferry crossings it was quite an adventure.
