Is there anyone out there creating sculptures using discarded R-R engine parts? Recently I was inspired by the late Robert Klippel's sculpture exhibition which is still running at the Art Gallery of NSW. He created wonderful pieces by using discarded materials, often machine parts. Then in Martin Place, Sydney with the Art & About sculpture show, there are three grasshoppers made from engine parts. I then recalled in my early youth making a candle holder from my old VW discarded clutch plate. Polished, it took pride of place! Where are those creative spirits now? |
