While looking for a suitable plastic to make a switch lever.

I thought bone because ivory is a sort of bone and the switch is a guitar pick up selector which has millivolts only and it looks good on pianos.

I used Cow thigh bone after the dog had finished and the mother in law has had a gnore.

It machines ok its not too good at holding threads but self tappers hold.

I used epoxy to glue to lever, it looks nice, it ages to cream colour.

To reinforce use brass ferules for larger handles. Like bone handled knives.
A classic look.

My mother in law died years ago. I once nearly fed her cat food, I thought it was pate. My wife thought it was hilarious.
