Has anyone removed the radiator on a pre 1986 Spirit or Mulsanne without removing the bonnet. It looks possible by removing the fan. I have changed a Shadow 1 radiator this way in the past.

Omar is correct and is easier to remove bonnet and need two and very easy 4 1/2 inch bolts on each bracket and I mark around the edges of the brackets with a white pen so you can put it back in the right place first time .My wife and I did it together. Can be done with bonnet in position but famous Tom Johnston in Adelaide said remove bonnet.

Radiator changed, without removing bonnet or fan. Easy to remove and refit with two people ( self and wife ).The biggest pita were the cowl nuts.

Maxwell, yes including replacing one oil cooler pipe, together with changing atf and power steering atf and the brake pipes under the radiator become easy for cleaning and greasing.
