Some may remember I bought a non-running 1989 Turbo R about 6 months ago. It has been a journey for sure! I finally got it running almost perfectly! The car starts and idles absolutely like new until I drive it about 50 miles when it will shake a little idling. It is not missing to me, but just seems not as smoothly. I have changed the spark plugs, but not the wires. Could the wires cause this idling issue when hot? The car has a new FUEL pump, accumulator, rebuilt fuel distributor! I did not rebuild the injectors. I have used Techeron fuel cleaner for about 120 miles.

Any ideas appreciated!

Have you installed the new NGK Iridium plugs BPR5IEX which made my 89 car idle so smoothly replacing the old BPR4EVX platinum that are now superseded.
