Can anyone advise the replacement interval for Platinum plugs as fitted to late Spirits ?

Thanks Paul, it states 30k miles and presumably Iridium would last longer still.

Hi Mark, 30K if you are doing 15000 miles a year. Change every 2 years if less. (same goes for the rest of the schedule.) If you are doing less than 6000 a year, you can get away with annual servicing imho.

If you are doing very low mileages, personally I would take the plugs out and inspect them at two years and change the set if any are looking bad . . . (unless you have one plug (say) that always clogs up, then just replace the offending ones.

It is always whichever comes soonest, miles or time.

Paul - best maintenance advice that should be etched into the windscreen in front of the driver.

This advice has stood the test of time and MUST never be ignored because the owner does this at their peril......

Hi Paul, the car is doing about 12k miles per year and I was unsure as to whether the change interval was still 12k miles with platinum plugs.I will still remove, check and lubricate the threads annually.
