Hi All
Having read Ross's excellent thread on the rad dismantling, I happened to notice his "Spirit of Ecstasy". So I thought I would submit some pictures of my attempts at playing around with my moulds. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Ross
OK I've guessed what's in it!
Are you casting some kind of metal, or is it a plastic/epoxy?

Everything comes to those who wait......

Only problem is some have to wait longer than others .

I just got back and still haven't demolded the clear one with the embedded cast I left in the shed but here's a picture of some of the test casts I did of the same mold.

You took the words right out of my mouth Patrick. Ross your work is outstanding.
Cant wait to get a finished one on Benny, I think it will set the car off nicely and if it lights up then all the better and if not I wont sweat it. I will be just happy to get anything on there, I think the Bentley looks kind of naked without something there.

Hi Ross
I have managed a few, and they all look good on the car, actually crystal like. I have installed an LED inside the grill which comes on with the side lights. Not as professional as yours I'm afraid, but definitely turns a few heads.
Funny thing is that this particular glass look epoxy has a melting point of 75 centigrade! I have not had a droopy lady yet!! but the time may come.
She (the car) was a VIP guest at a rally in Morocco where the temperatures were quite hot and she (the glass lady) survived.
Attached a picture of the Glass Lady lit up, SRH 17968 on the rally, and a jar opener that every Shadow owner should have to open the radiator cap with - saves getting the fitting and wrench out and chewing the plastic.

Patrick,

Looks great!

I don't understand the strap wrench though.

The droopy lady thing is actually pretty funny. I made my first cast out of a soft epoxy and one can bend the mascot all kinds of ways and it slowly pops back. Pretty weird.

Hi Ross
Love the Silver Lady doing yoga!
My Shadow has a large plastic screw on cap on the expansion tank you that has to be unscrewed using an insert from the toolkit. I use the jar lid remover instead.
