Gents,

Below are some scans from a really nice glossy Shadow brochure I recently obtained.
Great reference images of new parts and testing in the Crew factory.

I have high res versions if anyone is interested in me emailing them.

Hi Patrick

Great images. I would be really interested if you could send me the hi-res images. Let me know if you haven't still got my email address and I will pm it to you.

Awesome Pat

Just think, that could've been my bronze Shadow being tweaked on the nice country road!- it happened often enough, according to the build sheets.

What year is it dated?. Interesting how Crewe used a LHD test bed car?- better access in the engine bay perhaps?.

Would be great to see the full res, thanks Pat. Just PM'd you my email addy. You might be busy soon mate!.

cheers

I actually worked on the cutdown floor pan/mechanicals as part of my Shadow intro course early 1967. Interestingly, the wheels were held on with bolts, like German cars but this was dropped for production in favour of studs/nuts. Brochure looks late sixties or early seventies as pic has center console and wheel trim is vented variety.

Wow guys,

I will now scan each page into PDF to take in all the text.

I scanned then cropped the images only just thinking the pics were great.

So then I will have the images, and the full brochure in lower res.
I will do this when back in the office tomorrow.

Hi Geoff.

I still have your email mate.

Nick,
Would love to catch a glimpse of the chassis number on that one in the pic.

Interesting stuff Gordon.

Judging by the images at the start of the brochure, it looks to me about late 73 or 74.
This is due to the am/fm radio being down in front of the centre console, plus no ankle freezer chrome vents out front.

Patrick,

Can you scan in 300dpi resolution?

If you can, please scan them to a memory stick and I can create two PDF files; one low resolution and one high resolution for you and emailing to anyone else.

I also have a Google Drive folder which has controlled access to downloadable files which can be used for files that are too big for email addresses with small file download size capability.

I am hoping we can catch up in the next week or two.

Yes mate,

These were scanned at 300dpi.
Each full size pic is 3mb.
Not to big.

Very interesting document with beautiful pictures.

Thank you Patrick for the time you spent on scans.

Could'nt you just upload it to the RRtechnical library (with the TSD, Workshop docs)?

Unless you have good reasons for not doing so.

Hi Jean,

I've not uploaded anything to the technical library before, so not sure how to do this.

Here are 2 images (sorry most of the images are across the spine of the brochure).
This format is slightly bigger than A4 will cause some grief to scan.

This may help date the brochure as well.

Thanks Nick.

I have purchased quite a few from eBay mate, but this was actually given to me by another club member.
