Gents,

I'm wondering if there has been any success with sound dampening using a specific underlay or matting with cars such as these.

As I am redoing the carpets on my 20/25 it seems like a good time address this. There seem to be plenty of products designed for modern cars with a steel floorpan but less information for those of us with a timber floor.

Woolies has some products (below)

This seems to be a good match too....

I wonder if anyone has had any luck with a paint on product?

Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Paint wood ruin the wood and mine is slightly varnished from new.

The products used on modern cars are actually better as metal/steel is harder to noise dampen than wood.
