Yes jetsetters I recently landed back in Bowen after working in Perth 3000 miles away. And yes safely back in the safety of my country lair and after consuming copious cartons of the amber fluid and indeed after ordering an $800 beer brewing kit that will produce 120 litres of Russian beer at 11 percent I delighted at the prospect of being retired and unemployable. I started organising my man cave ( den of iniquity mark V.) The weather was perfect, and I tuned into the russling of leaves in the wind as I swept up all the broken glass after affixing another nicotine patch to my foot sweetly placed inside of my new Flosheim brothel creeper sneakers. I put all my specialised Rolls Royce tools together in one cupboard together with my straight from California RR AC Test Box. I could smell and truly feel car restoration nirvana descending upon me at the speed of light. Now I had time to really live life and hop straight into my number one drug - car tinkering. First I will cut the grass and tow the Mark One Jaguar from the front yard and place it under cover after moving the piano from in front of the Camargue, then I will remove the rear door of the Jaguar 420G and start sanding before measuring up the Purple Spirit for its second LPG tank and a new kick ass battery no need to pay the land rates they can wait. Life was bloody perfect - blissful. And then the phone rang. It was my neighbour Mad Donna. So I made the mistake of walking over to see what she wanted. Now a cattle station 32 kilometres away wants a mechanic and are sending a car to collect me and my tools tomorrow. But this is an aside. I went back to looking at cars for sale in LA and NY. I swear my bank manager is really a full blown gypsy with a fully functional crystal ball. The rotter! This classic car caper is worse than a heroin habit. Hello my name is Vladimir and I am a Classic Car Aholic. The AA meetings of car nuts. No! Bugger it. I will not give myself over to a higher power. As soon as I get the cash I will fly directly to Leningrad and hire the wild girls....and the onto see my brother Sasha will a dozen bottles of Vodka and a pint of cognac and then to wild dancing in Russian nightclubs. That way the bank manager won't be able to get me. | ||
