I have just had a £500 tax rebate. This is because of tax office cock up. And talking to the tax guy it appears that there are thousands of UK tax payers in the same position. So for UK based folks check your taxes! However not all good. Due to gov pension changes my wife has been ripped off to the tune of £50,000. So I am going a claim for everything possible and impossible. So also for older UK folks, sites worth checking. Age Concern CAB help the aged and various ukgov.com sites. Plus check out council tax rebates. Because a council tax rebate opens up other old age benefits. A few years back the water board made a cock up with my water bill I complained and the water board gave me a £100 compo. |
