I assume that the process for fitting windscreens is the same as I used to do on my old Morris 1000.
Fit rubber to screen, terylene cord in the groove and swarfega on the rubber.
But should I fit the bright work to the rubber before fitting the screen. It doesn't seem to be a pressure insert like some screens use.

We always fit the Chrome first.

Get a couple of mates around to help!
