I'm pretty close to dealing with upgrading the supersoft suspension in SRX1248, a 66 Silver Shadow with the first variation suspension (set up to compete with Cadillac, not Mercedes). One option is the Harvey-Bailey Engineering kit out of the UK. But I know you chaps have better ideas, so let's hear them. Object is flatter cornering, lane changing et.c. without losing too much of the typical ride quality inherent in a Shadow of any year.

Hi William and welcome to our Forum,

For more information, go to the following Australian website and see also Richard Treacy's posts today on anti-roll [sway] bars. Harvey-Bailey make a good kit however the price may be higher than other alternatives from reputable suppliers:

This is now the third time I have attempted to contact them via e-mail - last two times have garnered no replies. At least Harvey-Bailey come back with replies.

In the now out "Just Cars" mag theres a picture for sale of a 1967 model Bentley in Queensland somewhere thats got a flame paint job coming down the front side of both guards. It looks like its a bit lowered and the guy says its got IRS so it must handle good too.

Regarding the 1967 Bentley with IRS; if the year of manufacture is correctly quoted as being 1967 then all standard production 1967 R-R/B cars were delivered with IRS and 4 wheel disc brakes as standard.

Thanks for that but I thought because of the flame paint job it might have had a Jag rear end or something like that and was interestng only because it was near my model.

I find it very off-putting when reading vehicles-for-sale ads to see the seller listing a whole series of features that were standard on the car. As though they were something special.
Alloy wheels, wood grain (!) or even worse; AIR. What does that mean?

It probably means that the seller has not owned the car for long and knows little about it himself. And assumes that nobody else does either.
