I believe that these cars continued to use batteries of the group 27 size, just like all the other cars from 1946 - 1980, but am not absolutely certain of that. A 27F if the battery box is on the right side of the boot and a plain 27 if it's on the left. For some reason I seem to remember that the very late SZ series cars, or at least some of them, used two batteries as those that followed them do. If this is correct, can anyone identify which of the SZ cars did this and what the battery sizes are? Brian |
