It gives me great pleasure to advise users of this Forum that our valued contributor and author of "Tee One Topics" Bill Coburn was awarded the George Sevenoaks Medal at the recent RROC[Australia] NSW Branch Annual Presentation Dinner. This medal is awarded on a merit basis to any member who "in the opinion of the Committee has given outstanding service to the Branch over a considerable period". Bill is a member of the NSW Branches and a Foundation Member of the ACT Branch of which he is still a member. Bill was Federal Secretary of the RROC{Australia] from 1976 to 1983 and became Editor of the Federal Magazine "Praeclarvm" in 1974. He revived this magazine and subsequently was responsible for publishing 31 issues setting a standard that has been continued with subsequent Editors. Notwithstanding his other commitments, Bill is now working on a definitive Index for "Praeclarvm". Bill has always been an advocate of self-help activities particularly for Shadows and Spirits. He has "practiced what he preaches" including many workshops at his home in Canberra [Perhaps the most famous of these workshops is one I attended on the 18th January 2003 which is now referred to as "Fixing Rolls-Royces in a Firestorm" - see the following link: http://au.rrforums.net/forum/messages/30/338.html] Last but by no means least, he is the Editor of "Tee One Topics". There are 67 issues to date. That's 951 pages or about 82 Megabytes. Congratulations Bill on receiving this recognition and the photo below of Bill and his medal is from the December issue of "L & D" - [photographer either Barrie Gillings or Peter Chan].
