Hi, I am rebuilding my MK VI. The engine was rebuilt, and was started with fuel from external container using gravity feed and power from battery directly. Now I connected the fuel line and fuel pump, as well as, electrical system. I put 15 liters of gas in cleaned (professional) tank. Turn ignition, hear fuel pumps clicking, but no gas is flowing. Do I need to prime the fuel pump? |

Problem resolved. Turns out there was a loose connection at the fuel tank that caused air to be drawn in. |

Have you inspected the rusted up filter next to the tank, under the boot floor?

Thanks Christopher. The lines are all clear. Problem was a loose connection at the fuel tank, it caused air to be sucked through the line. Tightened and fuel is flowing now. Thanks Chris |
