Hello I have a 1991 Spirit 2 I've owned for 5 years. Recently there has been a random tapping noise coming from near the front of the car. It's quite audible and sounds a bit like an air lock in a heating system. You get 3 or 4 taps and then it goes off and then out of nowhere will do it again. Does not appear to be speed, braking, or steering related. There are no loose items under the car flapping about. Aircon works, heating is not stunning but does get sort of Luke warm. I thought it may be the heater tap but that was replaced a few years back. I also have the gas charcoal canister in front wing. But I don't know if this has any moving parts like a pump or something and doubt it's ever been changed. Anyone else experiencing this noise?
