 Hello,
my Spur has 2 reservoirs,1 for the windscreen,1 for the headlamps. Some Spurs have 1 reservoir, both windscreen and headlamps using the same fluid.
Why is it advised when the Spur has 2 reservoirs,to use 2 different fluids?

Dependent on the time of manufacture. the
windscreen and headlamp wash systems will utilize
either a single reservoir for both functions or two
 independent reservoirs.
The combined (single) reservoir and the
windscreen wash reservoir of the independent
systems should be topped·up to their maximum levels
using the correct mixture of washer fluid and water.
The independent headlamp wash reservoir should
be topped-up to its maximum level with clean water.
During winter conditions, a solution of 30%
isopropyl alcohol and 70% water should be used. This
mixture will provide frost protection down to a
 temperature of approximately -10°C ( 14 °F).

Why bother mixing alcohol and water, why not just use the commercial "Blue" windshield washer fluid ? I use that in my truck that sits out all winter long and it does well even when the temp got down to -20 Celsius.
