There is a strange clicking sound whenever I open the rear passenger door about an inch or so, Same noise when re closing the door as well.Hard to describe between a switch operating ( clicking ) or something mechanical ( moving ) Sorry, but that's the best I can describe it. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks, Bob |

Robert, it sounds like the fast idle solenoid, which is activated when rear passenger doors are opened. |

There is also a solenoid under the car that switches the self levelling from slow to fast when the rear doors are opened. Maybe what h_kelly is referring to? |

Read solenoid valve hot height control system. Should work on the front switches to though. |

If the ticking noise in the area of the solenoid valve has recently become more noticeable or louder it's possibly caused by the low pressure restrictor valve having become blocked with crud. When it's time to change the flexi-hoses for the brakes & height control it's recommended to also clean the restrictor valves. Each valve has one small seal that will need to be replaced on reassembly. |
