Thanks Patrick
I wonder if the oil pressure switch wiring was disturbed or some other wiring?

Good point Michael.

If the car is a Shadow then may be this topic should be swopped with the topic "Removing Caps RR Rims" unless I maybe wrong, the Shadow was never fitted with those caps rims.

know nothing specific on the Turbo R but having had time on injection turbo cars this may help.
IMO first check for good fuel pressure as the HP pump if fitted may get weak causing difficult starting and rough running.
Plugs can also soot up.
Check all electrical connections to the management system.

Hello Richard,
I had a similar problem on my Turbo R and wrote a thread on it under the Heading 'Poor Starting Hot and Cold' David G even got my photo of the offending connection onto the thread as well. Hope it helps but if not it may point you in the direction to cure the problem. Best of Luck, Clive

Richard...
Please to articulate what you did to "check relays." How do you check a relay? Replace with a "known good"? Does "at the fifth try" mean that the fifth one, when replaced with a new one (known good,)resolved the problem, thus the bad relay was the cause of the incident? I doubt you mean that you removed and replaced the relay five times to get it to work, implying that the connections were bad? Not sure.

Hi Christian yes the fifth relay I tried with a known good relay found the faulty one job done.
