I have been postponing this job forever but I now have to bite the bullet and replace the sump gasket on my Shadow 2.

I have 2 questions :

1) where do I suspend the engine so can move it a bit to get at the rear sump bolts ?
2) do I have to remove the steering rack or is it possible to slide the sump out ?

Suspend engine from top of suspension turrets


Bridge the span with say scaffold pole etc

Refer to workshop manual as this procedure is in there
