Hi, I noticed the seal on SRH9391's GM A6 air conditioning compressor has a little leak. I am considering a complete restoration of the system: new compressor, O-rings, etc. and installation of R134A. I thought it would be timely, as I have not had a compressor failure and my system works, even though it leaks a little. As far as I can tell none of the hoses leaks; at east there is no oily evidence of leaks. What about the control valve under the brake reservoir, with the Lucas positioner control attached to it? Seems I remember reading there is a retrofit for this device. Far as I can tell, this one is working. What about the hoses? Are they readily available? I think I can come up with the green O-rings, and the filter-dryer seems a common, stock type, readily available. All advice appreciated, of course. |
