Hi to all. This is my first post after joining a few weeks ago. I need to refurbish the colour on my front seats. There is a company in the UK that sells the correct colouring equipment but they do not recognise the colour code only it's name. So my colour code is VM4133 which is a blue does anyone know the correct name for this blue. Thanks for any replies. |

Hi Roger I cannot recall seeing a leather color code chart, however it is worth using google to see what colors the refurb manufacturers list. I did a quick check and came up with surf blue, from the following website. http://www.liquidleather.com/auto%20colour%20bank.htm#Rolls If you try several sites you may find a consensus on what the name is. The following links might be useful however when matching the colour swatches keep in mind the colour rendition of your computer screen may vary from what you would see with the naked eye. http://www.connollyleather.com.au/ http://www.connollyleather.com.au/vaumolleather.html http://www.ukhide.co.uk/brands/connolly/ If you have obtained your car build-sheets from Hunt House, the exact Connolly colour should be contained on the order to Crewe. |

The Morgan Car website lists Connolly Surf Blue as RR colour VM3281 and VM4133 is shown as Blue but no unique name is included. However under the Morgan Connolly leather colour list item 31 is Dark Blue coded 4133 which I suggest might be the Connolly code. http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/leatherhelp.html Another website specialising in replacement leather for the original Connolly lists Connolly 4131 as "RR Blue": http://www.worlduph.com/samples/connolly.htm The following manufacturer of Scuffmaster leather dyes for upholstery refurbishing may be worth contacting: http://www.daytonagblimited.co.uk/leather-seat-dyes/664-aston-martin-scuffmaster-leather-dye-65ml-bottle.html Of general interest, the story of Connolly Leather is summarised on the following link: http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/connolly_leather.php

Hi All Thanks for your information it was very helpful. In the end I sent the coin tray to Furniture Clinic, which is the company involved in the UK and they created the colour which is called Rolls Royce Blue. It was all sorted in 48 hours. |
