Melody is the noise when the engine moves forward and the fan gets cozy with the radiator core. My car has a new front mounting 2005. I glued a bit of new rubber to the stop plate. The stop plate is fitted to the front mounting. Morris Minors have a cable which goes backwards from the bell housing to the cross member. This cable stops the engine shunting forward under heavy braking. A similar arrangement could be fitted to a Shadow. Boat shops do made to measure Stainless Steel cables with fittings. 10mm cable clevis on one end and a thread on the other for tensioning. |
